There is not much that can rival a weekend sprawled out on the pristine beaches of the Hamptons. Add on a James Beard Foundation event featuring over 30 of the (mostly) tri-state area’s most well-known chefs, and you’ve surely got an event worthy of pre-coverage here at Food Republic.

The annual Chefs & Champagne celebration will take place on the evening of Saturday, July 29, at the Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, New York. This year’s festivities will honor multiple James Beard Award–winning chef Marcus Samuelsson. In addition to his multiple culinary accolades, the acclaimed New York City chef is a noted author, philanthropist and restaurateur.

At this year’s Chefs & Champagne, guests will gather under a tent at the picturesque winery to taste dishes from New York City and Long Island hot spots including Pig Bleecker, Olmsted, The North Fork Table & Inn, Fowler & Wells, Augustine, Atoboy, Freek’s Mill, Le Coucou and Mas Farmhouse, among others. Proceeds from the annual summer tasting will benefit the various philanthropic initiatives of the Foundation. A silent auction consisting of fine-dining experiences, wines and spirits, cookware and culinary travel packages will also raise funds for the organization.

So what are you waiting for? General admission and VIP tickets to the party of the summer are currently on sale through the James Beard Foundation’s website. Be sure to check out the website for a full list of confirmed participating chefs.
